I have to say this past weekend was an absolute blast! I can honestly say that I have some amazing friends and feel so blessed to have each one of these girls in my life. Last Thursday, my friend Jenn flew in from Michigan to come to my baby shower on Saturday. We had such a great time catching up and chilling out.
Friday night Jenn and I had a girls night dinner with some friends of mine. Most of them had met Jenn a few months ago when she came to visit. So we went to Laredos for Mexican and spent a couple of hours just laughing and enjoying the food. Although, we do have to say that we missed you Nikki M!
On Saturday, my friends Dina, Becky, Beverly, Jen, Cara, Trixie and Pam threw me a baby shower. We had so much fun. And it was just so cool to see so many different people from almost every era of my life come together. It was especially fun when I was opening gifts because Trey and Emily's little girl Eliza was there. So she would help me read the cards. But, then a few of the stuff animals we got she would hug and give a kiss too. It was so precious! I'm so glad my Real Angels wives were able to be there. The Lord has definitely blessed me with some special friendships with these girls. Every time I see them and hang out with them our friendship grows deeper and deeper. I love you girls! Anyway, the time with all of my friends was so special. It was such a special time to see them come to celebrate our little miracle who is on her way. Thank you all so much! Words cannot express how much I love each one of you!
It's crazy to think that we are now 32 1/2 weeks along. It is definitely flying by now. And we are getting more and more excited for the arrival of our Lacey Elisabeth. We actually ordered Lacey's travel system last night. I was excited because we actually got it on sale online for $20 cheaper than in the store PLUS free shipping. We also ordered the valances for her room too. That is coming together and we should have it all done and decorated by Thanksgiving. Josh and I were talking about how surreal it is that we are so close to meeting her. Every night we sit on the couch and marvel and my growing and jumping belly. It really makes you wonder how people cannot believe that God is real and that babies are living human beings. It boggles my mind. It's such a miracle!!!
Well, I am off to bed now. It's 10:30 and way past my bedtime. Yes, I know that to some that's early, but, when you have a 4:30 am wake up call and your preggo it's not that early!

Well, today has been a bittersweet day for me. A year ago today we learned that we were indeed having a miscarriage. The Lord decided that our little baby needed to stay in Heaven with him. It was such a hard and confusing time. But, it was a journey that He allowed us to go on. And even though it wasn't easy, we definitely embraced the journey. So, today I spent a lot of time thinking about our little angel baby that's up there in Heaven and wondering if they were a boy or a girl. Not only one angel baby, but, we have two angel babies up in Heaven. Yes, I did shed some tears last night and today. Even though it is much easier now than last year, it still was my baby that I never got to meet and so you still grieve for that precious little angel. Josh has been so supportive of me today. As have many friends who really gave words of encouragement today.
But, on the brighter side, I also thought about what a difference a year makes. Last year we were mourning the loss of our baby. And now a year later we are rejoicing in the fact that in 4 months we will have our little princess Lacey joining our family. We feel so unbelievably blessed that the Lord would allow us this opportunity. It's all still so surreal. I've been reading a book called "Praying Through Your Pregnancy" and it has been such a blessing to me this pregnancy. I have definitely been praying for our little girl. Not only that she will be healthy, but, that God would bless her even in the womb. And that she would grow up loving the Lord and using her life to spread His love. This is our little miracle and I KNOW the Lord has BIG plans for her!

Today at the station Natalie Grant came by to visit with Kevin & Taylor because her new CD "Love Revolution" came out yesterday. As I was listening to her interview she was talking about how her and her husband had been told that they couldn't have kids. So they decided that they wanted to try and she gave herself 76 shots and they were blessed with twins almost 4 years ago. Well, on the day of the Nashville flooding this past spring she found out that she was pregnant...with no help from the doctors. The Lord had blessed them with a child...a miracle! And come to find out her baby is due on Christmas day and our due date is New Years Eve. How funny is that? Natalie and I had a chance to talk afterward and share our stories about our little miracles (by the way, she's having a girl too). She was such a sweetheart and I'm so happy for her and her family. It's amazing to see how God works and the miracles that he can do!

Well, yesterday was the day for my 14 week doctors appointment. It was a big day. The day that we were to find out if the baby was still doing well and if we were in the clear. And of course I had to work before the appointment and it felt like the time just stood still. I just wanted to get it over with to know our little miracle was still okay. FINALLY time came to go to the appointment. And of course the one time that I want to get it over with is the time that you sit in the waiting room for what seems like an eternity. After about 40 minutes they finally took us back to see the nurse where we did the normal weight check and blood pressure check. I learned that I had lost 12 pounds during the first 14 weeks of my pregnancy. And blood pressure was good. Well, then the nurse told us that no rooms were available so we we had to wait in the waiting room outside of the rooms. We got to talking with another girl who we found out was 36 weeks along and ready to have her baby. It's pretty cool the things you can learn about people when you take the time to open up and talk with them. Anyway, we finally met with the doctor and she told me that it might take a little bit to find the heart beat. But, our little miracle didn't think that was necessary because as soon as she put the little monitor thing on my belly that baby's heartbeat was just beating and beating and beating. The doctor smiled really big and said that the heartbeat was PERFECT! Yeah!!! But, what lifted the huge weight off of my shoulders is when she said that we were in the clear and this baby was going to be just fine! REALLY??? This was the news that I had been waiting to hear for so long. I felt like I could actually breathe again and really begin to enjoy this pregnancy. After hearing the news all I could do was just keep thanking the Lord for giving us this little miracle and for letting our little miracle be okay! Josh wasn't able to be there with me because he is in Florida with Echoing Angels. But, I have an amazing support system here at home and my momma went with me and was able to share that special moment hearing that precious little heartbeat. I don't think I'll forget that moment. We go back to the doctor in 4 weeks so hopefully Josh will be able to go and be able to hear the heartbeat himself for the first time. Then we go back on August 12th to find out if we are having a baby boy LeBlanc or baby girl LeBlanc. I cannot wait to find out who our little miracle is gonna be. So what do you think? Boy or Girl? Either way...this is our miracle and God is still in the Miracle business!!!
